Latest Chelsea transfer news are here. Don;t miss out on any.

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has declared that he still wants four new additions to his team this summer and has told Chelsea’s transfer people to look to get him more English players.

This move is in a bid to bolster Chelsea’s quota of homegrown players, which is already below the English FA limit.

With the departures of John Terry, Nathaniel Chalobah, Nathan Ake and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, all moved on to other clubs earlier this summer, Chelsea’s stock of homegrown players have dwindled drastically. The only homegrown players in the first team right now are English born Nigerian International, Victor Moses and new captain, Gary Cahill.

According to The Telegraph this fine morning, Antonio Conte has set his sights on both Arsenal speedster, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Everton midfield destroyer Rosss Barkley.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has refused to sign a new contract with Arsenal, has just one year left on his current contract. He’s a natural winger and many see him as ideal competition for Victor Moses in the problematic right wing-back role.

The 23-year-old English international was moved to an unfamiliar right-wing back position towards the latter part of last season as Arsenal made the switch to Chelsea’s style of play, using three central defenders and two forward flying wingers. The Ox, as he is fondly nicknamed, impressed greatly as a right wing-back and Antonio Conte, who must have noticed this well enough in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal, feels certain he can polish the player into a world class material.

The player is eager for a move away from Arsenal to another club in the Champions league and although Arsenal would not want to sell a player of his caliber, they have little choice, what with him set to walk away as a free agent next year when his contract runs up.

Given the crazy transfer market, the player will most likely command a top fee of about £30 million.

Barkley, on the other hand, has some sort of frosty relationship with Everton Manager Ronald Koeman. The player who also underwent a successful hernia operation has been informed plainly that he can leave.

Everton has slapped a price tag of £50 million on Barkly, and this is a guy with just one year left on his contract.

The player is attracting a lot of attention from the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, and both Manchester clubs. However, the Toffees have slapped a

Juventus and Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro, and Spanish attacker, Fernando Llorente, are the other two players Conte is very interested in.

The Spaniard is looked on as the perfect mentor and striker partner for new signing Alvaro Morata. The two strikers who developed into world class talents under Antonio Conte’s watchful eyes at Juventus are said to be a perfect team both on and off the pitch.

Chelsea has already spent over £130 million in the current transfer market which has seen them purchase players from Roma, Monaco and Real Madrid.

The club is now set to open talks with Everton and Arsenal respectively after already making inquiries as to the availability of the players.
