Full report on Chelsea Training status

Hazard uploaded this photo to his Instagram account
Chelsea has entered full pre-season training and, as of this morning, all the stars, big and small, are now present and accounted for.

Did I say all? Yeah, all, that’s except for Diego Costa and Nemaja Metric, both of whom are in no doubt anymore that their futureS lie else. Their transfer process is still in the works but neither player seems interested in showing up at the Chelsea training grounds and their names are missing from the list of players going on a pre-season tour of the Far East.

Enough talk about ex-Chelsea stars. Let’s talk about the real stars and how they are working to regain full fitness in other to do us proud in the coming season.

Chelsea FC Stars In Training

Superstar Eden Hazard is well on the way to recovery from a hideous injury in the form of a fractured ankle. The Belgian international sustained the injury while in training with his national team last month, June.

The Belgian superstar's right leg has been in a cast for over a month since but the cast has now come off and the Blues talisman returned to training this morning.

Hazard will definitely miss out on all of this summer’s friendly matches but at the rate at which he is going, he will definitely be fit for the start of the season’s campaign as the Blue look to start a defense of their crown in style.

The Belgian soccer whiz who has chosen to stay at Stanford Bridge despite serious interest from Real Madrid, posted photos on Instagram showing himself working out alone in the gym at Chelsea’s Cobham training grounds as he struggles to attain full fitness.

While Eden Hazard worked away alone in the gym, his fellow Blues teammates were outside in full training session under the watchful eyes of Italian Manager Antonio Conte who, by the way, is still yet to put pen to paper on a new deal of his own. Chelsea is at the bargaining table but the manager has refused to show until they bring him the new players he wants. Some might call this blackmail, though, but who will arrest the Italian? Certainly, not Chelsea fans.

While the Chelsea players were engaged in conventional ball works, jogging and running, the goalkeepers, all three were seen doing something rather strange.

They were playing beach volleyball!.

Blue's first choice goalie, Thibaut Courtois, -- who is refusing to sign a new contract unless he gets a pay hike that would see him earn the same wage as Eden Hazard, 200,000 pounds, -- and new signing Willy Caballero, the penalty stopping king who came over to the club from Manchester City on a free transfer, had their diving, punching and handling skills tested out by the beach volleyball game.

Thibaut Courtois excelled most in the game which wasn’t surprising at all, I mean this guy is a natural, what with the members of his family all being volleyballer professionals. I kid you not – both the father and mother of the Belgian star are ex-volleyball professionals and his sister currently plays professional beach volleyball and represents the Belgian national team in the game.

That team Courtois, which comprised of Thibaut Courtois himself, third choice goalkeeper Eduardo and goalie coach Gianluca Spinelli, won the game was no surprise at all.

While the whole training session was on, Big boss Conte watched stood around watching closely without doing much of his usually yelling. I guess he’s just waiting to be impressed by the new additions to the team.

Well, that’s it, for now, folks. The Chelsea superstars are all complete and accounted for as pre-season training get under way. I’ll be back with more, that's for sure.
