Alvaro Morata hits London to undergo Medicals

Spanish international, Alvaro Morata has landed in London to finalize his all famous transfer to Chelsea and with him is his wife, Alice Campello and his agent too.

The 24-year-old said his farewells to his Real Madrid teammates at their training grounds this morning en route London and Chelsea FC.

The player is set to undergo his medical and then put pen to paper on a five-year deal worth 160,000 pounds a week. He has now made the move after Chelate reached a 60 million agreement with Real Madrid yesterday for his services. That fee smashed the price Chelsea forked out to Liverpool for Fernando Torres a few seasons ago thus making Alvaro Morata the most expensive player in the club’s history but not the highest paid.

Morata says goodbye to Real Madrid teammates this morning.

The player looked in a happy right from when he left Spain and touched down in London, and his wife? Glittering like a million dollars by his side.

The player who told reports at the airport that he was so happy to be joining ‘one of the biggest clubs in the world” headed straight to his hotel from where he would be going to the Chelsea facility for his medicals which would take place sometime time today as the Blue hope to see things through and get him over the Beijing, China where Arsenal and Chelsea are looking to do a show down in the community shield.

In what is seen as one of the shrewdest bargains of the transfer season, Chelsea has not only paid 15 million pounds less than what Manchester United were told to pay for the striker but they have also improved their chances of selling off Diego Costa for a better price.

Atlantico Madrid is reportedly the only club willing to do business with Chelsea over the hot-headed Costa but due to a transfer embargo, cannot do much until January. And even so, they are only prepared to pay 25 million pounds instead of the 44 million valuations of the player.

With the signing of Morata, both Costa and Atlantico Madrid can no longer hold Chelsea to ransom and so Diego Costa will definitely be sold soon.

Speaking over the transfer in Houston, Texas, USA, Manchester United Manager, Jose Mourinho, told Sky Sports that he is not interested in what Chelsea does or doesn’t do. He’s got his own world Class striker and so is all is fine by him.

This is surprising considering that Morata was his first choice signing and only after the Red Devils failed to reach an agreement with Real Madrid over the players 80 million price tag did they move on the second choice Lukaku and up comes Chelsea with their super delay technique to snatch up the player for just 60 million.

Antonio Conte who recently signed a new two years deal himself will be most pleased to have his protégée back. The Italian was the one who discovered Morata’s talents at a young age and recruited him from Real Madrid for Italian Champions Juventus. With the blossoming of the player, Madrid were fast to take him back via a buy in his contract.
