All the latest Chelsea News and transfer stories are here.

It is the third week of July and the preseason games have begun but the Blues are not yet done in the transfer market as they look to bolster the team even more.

Álvaro Morata

Chelsea FC have officially announced the completion of the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid. The Spain international put pen to paper on a five-year contract after reaching personal terms with the club and passing his medical.

Alvaro Morata is now officially a Blues’ player and a record signing for the club.

Although conflicting figures keep popping up in the media regarding what Chelsea paid Real Madrid for the player, that fee is believed to be within the region of £60million but will rise to £70m with add-ons.

Though not a regular player for Real Madrid last season, Morata emerged as a first choice target for Manchester United and new money bags, AC Milan. But it was Chelsea that stole the prize.

Blues boss, Antonio Conte has hailed the signing with much delight and it is believed that the Italian is particularly responsible for Morata’s decision to join Chelsea. Both men have worked together before at Juventus FC of Italy.

The 24year old was officially unveiled yesterday evening and certainly seemed delighted to be at the ‘best club in the world’ as he put it.

It is not clear yet as to what shirt Morata will wear but his traditional number is 7 which he sports for the Spanish national team.

Metric To United

As news of Nemanja Metric’s move to join old boss Jose Mourinho at Manchester United thickens, Chelsea have slapped a £50 million price tag on the player.

While this huge fee will not scare cash rich Manchester United, there is some hostility between the two top clubs that forbids any business being done between them.

The Daily Mail reports that Club owner Roman Abrahamnowich has now stepped in to sign off on the deal, giving Metric permission to open talks with Manchester United.

Man City Hijack Chelsea's Danilo Move

According to reports, Manchester City have reached an agreement with Brazilian and Real Madrid right back, Danilo over a potential move to the club despite Chelsea being in talks with Real Madrid.

It is said that Man City have reached a £27-million-agreement with Real Madrid and are set to announce the signing of the right back any day now.

Kurt Zoma

It’s now official. French and Chelsea defender Kurt Zuma has secured a loan move to Stoke city where he will spend all of the new seasons building himself back into the top-class defender we used to know before a horrific injury set him back.

Stoke reached a £7 million pounds agreement with Chelsea ahead of the likes of West Boom. The player signed a 6-year contract extension before heading out on loan.
Now here’s a guy with natural blue blood!

Chelsea Make Official Enquiry For Monaco Left Back

Earlier this week, I came across the news that Chelsea have lodged an official inquiry for AS Monaco fleet footed left back, Benjamin Mendy but paid it no mind because of the unreliable source.

However, Sky Sports News pundit keveh Solhekol, has just announced on live TV that Chelsea has indeed lodged an inquiry for the player who has a £50 million release clause in his contract.

With the move of first choice Alex Sandro from Juventus looking more and more impossible, Chelsea are looking out around for opinions.

Also interested in Mendy are Manchester City but it remains to see who will get the player.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Set for Chelsea talks

English international and Arsenal star, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain seems set to become the Blues next big signing as the club turns their attention away from Danilo.

The Ox is a versatile player that can play anywhere in the midfield but he’s particularly good as a right wing-back, which means he’s an upgrade on Danilo.

Although Arsenal who are struggling to keep their top players this season in light of no champions league action in the coming season will not want to sell a player like Chamberlain, they have no choice given that the player has refused to sign a new contract.

Arsenal has two options now. Sell the player for a beefy fee or let him go for free next year when his contract runs out.

Oxlade Chamberlain is one of the fastest players in the English Premier League and will sure give Nigerian International Victor Moses a hard time retaining his place in the first time.

As Arsenal take on Chelsea today in a friendly in China, it is most likely Chamberlain will not play.

Don’t forget to check back in here for the scope on the match though.
